Our Lady of the Lakes is a parish school with over 60 years of Catholic tradition. By incorporating religion in the daily lives of our students, we create an enriched, Catholic environment in response to Jesus’ invitation to “make disciples of all.” We strive to provide our students with new challenges and opportunities to be prepared for the rigors of college and push the limits of their academic capabilities. We have a 100% graduation rate and college acceptance. We are a blessed community and lifelong friendships are made here.

FAITH DEVELOPMENT:
Guided by the Holy Spirit, under the Mantle of Mary, Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School forms disciples through Catholic Tradition, personal discipline and academic excellence. As our school mission statement, this is the guiding practice for all we do. We give witness to our faith by our actions. We have daily theology classes, attend Mass each week, grade level spiritual retreats and participate in Christian service. Extensive outreach and service projects include food, toy and blood drives as well as working with nursing homes, food banks and within our parish community.

UNIQUE ACADEMIC OFFERINGS:
Student choice drives curricular offerings, allowing for many opportunities not found in most high schools. Students can intern inside and outside of our school building, pursue a passion project, collaborate with peers in our student engagement center, or they can choose to pursue a more traditional college bound track filled with AP and other advanced coursework. Lakes offers 26 Advanced Placement courses (in person, online, or through independent study), small class sizes, and Oakland Technical. Our Anchor Program specifically helps students that have special learning needs or require extra assistance integrate into general education classrooms. Our resource room provides support for students with specific learning disabilities as well as for students who need a quiet place to work, academic support, or an alternate testing location.
