Office of Catholic Schools
In his pastoral letter, Unleash the Gospel, Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron calls for the Archdiocese of Detroit to undergo a "missionary conversion," which encompasses a "renewal of structures" that will allow us to be “Spirit-led and radically mission-oriented.”
Catholic schools, and our work to support them, are no exception to heed the Archbishop’s call as they are the premier teaching center of the Church.
The Office of Catholic Schools (OCS) takes the stewardship of our Catholic schools and the families we serve as a sacred honor that currently requires some refining action.
In the coming months and years, the efforts to strengthen our school system will be supported by prayer, a robust vision and strategy that will be shared, and diligent collaboration with stakeholders.
In the spirit of servant leadership, the Office of Catholic Schools provides vision, direction, and supervision to Catholic school communities in order to assist them in the achievement of their mission to proclaim Christ and form joyful missionary disciples.
